  • Input your email and phone number at checkout when booking a trip;

  • Sign up through our subscription form on the website.
    By subscribing, you agree that we can send you marketing messages. No purchase is necessary!

Unsubscribing is Easy Need a break from our updates? Just hit “STOP” on any of our text messages or click the unsubscribe link in our emails. Once you opt out, you’ll stop receiving our marketing messages. Keep in mind that we can only process your request if it's clear and direct.

Terms and conditions for booking and participating in trips

Booking Your Trip:

  1. To kickstart your adventure, follow the booking steps on our website or reach out to our friendly team. To secure your spot, you’ll need to provide your email, billing address, and a non-refundable deposit. Once we get your deposit, you’re officially booked! You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking.

    After booking, we’ll send you an invoice for the remaining balance and any necessary registration forms. It’s super important to complete these forms and return them by the deadlines.

  2. If you're booking for friends or family, you’ll be their designated travel captain! This means you’re in charge of payments, updates, and ensuring all details are correct for your crew.

  3. Payment Details:

    • To confirm your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required.

    • The remaining balance is due 60 days before your trip.

    • If you book within 60 days of the trip, full payment is required at the time of booking.

    Payment Schedule:

    • Deposit: 30% at the time of booking.

    • Final Payment: 70% due 60 days before departure.

  4. Early Bird Specials Certain trips may have early bird pricing available. This will be highlighted on the trip page! If a trip doesn’t meet the minimum guest requirement, we’ll let you know and give you options to transfer your deposit to another adventure.

  5. What’s Included Your trip price covers all the essentials—planning, accommodations, and activities! You’ll be responsible for travel insurance, personal expenses, and any costs not specified in the trip description.

    We might need to adjust prices if our costs change due to transport, taxes, or currency fluctuations. If a price hike exceeds 10%, you’ll have the option to cancel for a full refund or choose another trip.

  6. Travel Insurance Hey, traveler! We highly recommend that you snag some solid travel insurance before you hit the road. This coverage should include everything from cancellation costs to medical expenses (yes, including evacuation and repatriation if needed). Make sure to read the fine print on your policy and keep a copy handy during your travels. It’s your responsibility to ensure your insurance fits your specific adventure needs.

  7. Health When you book your trip, you’re telling us that you’re in good health and ready to tackle all the exciting challenges ahead! If you have any medical conditions or disabilities that might affect your trip, please reach out to us before booking so we can help determine if this adventure is right for you.

    Don’t forget to check on recommended vaccinations and health precautions well in advance of your departure! Remember, these requirements can change, so stay up-to-date.

    If you're pregnant, we need to know! While we’re all about supporting your travels, we may not be able to accommodate anyone over 24 weeks pregnant. Plus, we might have to refuse travelers with certain medical conditions if we can’t find reasonable accommodations.

    Traveling with us might take you to some off-the-beaten-path places where medical care isn’t as readily available as it is back home. We can't guarantee the same level of care you might expect, so please plan accordingly.

  8. Special Requests Got a special request? Let us know before you book! We’ll do our best to meet your needs but keep in mind that confirmation of your request doesn’t guarantee it will be fulfilled. For extra peace of mind, get written confirmation for any special requests that are really important to you.

    If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform us at the time of booking. While we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs, we can’t guarantee it.

    Cancellations and Changes

  9. Cancellation of Bookings Please note that all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to cancel your reservation, send us a friendly email at hello@jalagrine.com.

  10. Insurance Claims Depending on your reason for cancellation, you might be able to reclaim your cancellation fees through your insurance policy. Just remember to reach out to your insurer directly for any claims. If part of your booking is canceled and affects the pricing, we’ll recalculate and send you an updated invoice.

  11. Itinerary Adjustments Our itineraries are guidelines that we strive to stick to, but sometimes life happens! Weather, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control might require us to make last-minute changes. We’ll keep the content of your itinerary as similar as possible, but if unexpected costs arise, we’ll discuss how to share those expenses.

  12. Changes and Cancellations by Jalagrine: We may need to adjust trip details or even cancel a booking occasionally (hey, it happens!). If we don’t reach the minimum number of participants for a trip, we reserve the right to cancel it. We’ll notify you of any cancellations at least 60 days before international trips and 7 days before local adventures.

    Most changes are minor, but if we need to make a significant change (one that has a major effect on your trip), we’ll let you know ASAP. If there’s time before your departure, we’ll give you the choice of:

    Accepting the updated arrangements;

    Opting for an alternative trip that won’t cost you more than the original (and we’ll refund you if it’s cheaper!)

    Compensation If we have to make a significant change or cancel, we may offer reasonable compensation, but not in cases of force majeure (see paragraph 13).

  13. Force Majeure “Force majeure” covers any unforeseen events we couldn’t have predicted or avoided, like natural disasters, civil unrest, or significant health risks. Unfortunately, we can’t take responsibility for any damages, losses, or inconveniences resulting from such events.

  14. Liability At Jalagrine, your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. However, we must clarify that we are not liable for any injury, illness, death, loss (including loss of possessions and enjoyment), damage, expenses, or claims arising from:

    • Your actions or inactions.

    • Actions or omissions of third parties not associated with your trip that are unforeseeable or unavoidable.

    • Events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters or other force majeure situations.

    While we strive to deliver a seamless experience, we cannot accept responsibility for services that fall outside our contractual obligations, including any additional services provided by suppliers outside your booked arrangements. We promise to handle your trip with the utmost skill and care, but our liability is limited to what is explicitly stated here.

    We also cannot be held responsible for losses or damages that: (1) we could not have anticipated based on the information you provided prior to booking; or (2) do not stem from our breach of contract or fault. Additionally, we are not liable for any business losses, including loss of earnings for self-employed individuals.

  15. Delays While we regret any delays you may experience, we cannot assist with disruptions at your departure point. Airlines may be responsible for compensation or refunds for significant delays or cancellations, but such claims must be directed to the airline. It is your responsibility to arrive at your departure location on time, and we cannot cover any costs resulting from delays, even if we assist in making arrangements.

  16. Travel Information Stay informed about global travel advisories by consulting your government’s official travel advisory site before booking and prior to your departure. We encourage you to keep up-to-date on travel safety and requirements.

  17. Supplier Conditions Our trips often involve third-party suppliers (transport operators, accommodations, activity providers, and local guides) who operate under their own terms and conditions, which may limit their liability. While we carefully select our partners, we cannot control their operations and are not responsible for their actions. Suppliers must comply with local laws, and we do not guarantee adherence to the regulations of your home country or any other jurisdiction.

    We are not liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, or inconveniences resulting from actions taken by these third parties.

  18. Trip Conduct and Behavior During your journey, all decisions will be made by Jalagrine staff, and it is essential to follow their reasonable instructions. If your behavior disrupts the trip's safety, order, or success, a Jalagrine leader may ask you to leave the trip.

    In cases of dangerous or disruptive behavior, we reserve the right to terminate your participation without prior notice. No refunds will be issued, and you will be responsible for any damages or losses incurred due to your actions. Please note that we strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.

  19. Passport and Visa Responsibilities It is your responsibility to ensure that you possess all necessary travel and health documents, including valid passports and visas. We cannot accept liability for entry refusals due to a lack of required documentation, and you will need to reimburse us for any fines or penalties incurred as a result of this.

  20. Complaints If you have any complaints during your trip, please inform your Jalagrine leader or local representative immediately. Verbal complaints should be documented and submitted in writing. For unresolved issues, contact us within 14 days of your trip's conclusion, including your booking reference and complaint details. Complaints not reported according to this procedure may not be eligible for consideration.

  21. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions, along with your contract, are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be handled following the applicable legal processes in that jurisdiction.

  22. Website Accuracy We strive for accuracy on our website and in our marketing materials; however, details may change. Always confirm trip specifics with us at the time of booking.

  23. Optional Extras "Optional Extras" refer to any activities, transportation, meals, or services not included in your tour itinerary. Any assistance we provide in booking these extras is done at your request, and we accept no liability for them. Responsibility for any issues related to Optional Extras rests solely with the third-party providers.

  24. Marketing Consent While on a trip, images or videos may be taken that include your likeness. By participating in our trips, you consent to the use of such images for marketing and promotional purposes by Jalagrine without any further obligation or compensation.

  25. Privacy Policy We collect personal information necessary to deliver your trip and associated services. This information will be used solely to fulfill your requested services and will be disclosed only as needed to enable us and our third-party suppliers to provide these services.
